Health, climate change, animal welfare... what’s driving more people to embrace a plant-based lifestyle?
People are curious about it and they’re finding out that vegan food is not just a boring salad, it’s experimental, and the food traders are amazing; people can have a drink, listen to music and hang out. It is a community and everyone supports each other’s businesses. It’s great to be a part of it!
Canada and Ontario have shifted towards a more sustainable means of food consumption thanks to the peoples demand for change. Our world has gone through drastic, negative changes within a short time frame and it is our duty to negate this.
Why go Vegan?
People cite one or more of three key motives for going vegan – animal welfare, environmental concerns and personal health – and it is being accompanied by an endless array of new business startups, cookbooks, YouTube channels, trendy events and polemical documentaries. The traditional food industry is desperately trying to catch up with the flourishing grassroots demand.
Everyone has made a shift towards veganism-even Farmer Jack's.
A vegan lifestyle prevents a tremendous amount of animal slaughter and suffering. It offers a potent way to shrink our environmental footprint, especially in regard to climate change. And a well-planned vegan diet can fuel the highest levels of fitness, while reducing our risk of various chronic diseases. Plus, the food is insanely delicious and it becomes more widely available every year.
Farmer Jack's pushes and strives to create and grow their fresh, pre-made vegan dishes. Their Burlington location carries over a hundred different recipes to choose from! Go in a check it out when you can!
