Fresh Start: The Farmer Jack’s healthy cleansing philosophy & your diet!

In our fast-paced world, maintaining a balanced diet can be challenging. The average Canadian diet often falls short of the recommended 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Breakfasts frequently lack vegetables, and lunches might only include minimal servings like a slice of tomato or a leaf of lettuce. Even if dinner includes a third of the plate filled with vegetables, it still doesn't meet nutritional needs. Farmer Jack’s Juice Cleanses provide a practical solution to bridge this nutritional gap.

We all know we should be eating carrots, beets, celery, apples, oranges, etc., but when do we have the time? As great as it, sitting with a cornucopia at work might turn some heads for the worst. Unless you’re working at Pioneer Village it’s not the easiest thing to eat a season’s healthy harvest for lunch. Luckily, every morning we put all those vegetables and fruits into a quick, delicious, healthy, and easy way for you to absorb... we’re talking about our Cold-Pressed Juices!!

But what is Cold-Pressed?

At Farmer Jack’s, we use a Cold-Press method to create our juices, ensuring that the vitamins, minerals, and natural enzymes from fruits and vegetables are preserved. Unlike the Centrifugal Juicers that many commercial and home juicers use, which can degrade nutrients through heat and oxidation, Cold-Press juicing extracts the liquid using hydraulic pressure, maintaining the nutritional integrity of the produce. This process not only delivers nutrient-dense juices but also ensures a more efficient absorption of nutrients by the body, aiding digestion and promoting overall health. Which means detoxes like our Power Cleanse have every inch of vitamins and minerals that the fruits and vegetables they come from are meant to have, no cut corners, no extra water weight, only the good stuff!

Your goals are our goals, and when we say that, we’re referring to our Three-Fold Philosophy:

  • Control and Detoxification: A cleanse helps you take control of your diet by eliminating processed foods and substances that may be addictive, such as sugar and caffeine. This reduction in intake lightens the load on your organs, allowing them to expel accumulated toxins. Many people report a significant loss of weight during a cleanse, primarily from shedding toxins and other unwanted substances from the body.
  • Organ Restoration: By consuming juices, your digestive system gets a break from processing solid foods, allowing your organs to focus on cleaning and repairing themselves. This process can lead to improved digestion and increased energy levels.
  • Balanced Nutrition: While cleansing, it's crucial to maintain adequate intake of fats and proteins to support bodily functions and repair processes. This is why - unlike most other commercial juice cleanses out there - we always recommend including one meal per day that is rich in clean proteins and healthy fats. Some excellent sources include tempeh, tofu, salmon, quinoa, almonds, avocado, and chia seeds (scroll down for some recipes we love!).

During a cleanse, it's also advisable to avoid caffeine, processed foods, refined sugars, dairy, nicotine, and alcohol to maximize the benefits (learn more about the keys to a health diet here: World Health Organization (WHO)). This holistic approach not only purifies the body but also sets a foundation for healthier eating habits long-term. Farmer Jack’s Juice Cleanses are designed to help you reset, rejuvenate, and revitalize your body from the inside out.
